Amazon is in hot water.
If you purchased a Crayan mattress from Amazon within the last two years, you may be affected by a recent recall. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced that around 100,000 Crayan mattresses are being recalled due to failure to meet federal fire safety standards. Although no injuries have been reported, the mattresses pose a potential fire hazard.
The recall includes 10- and 12-inch Crayan mattresses available in twin, full, queen, and king sizes. These mattresses have a white quilted top with gray sides and are branded with the name “Crayan” on the side panel. They were manufactured in Japan and sold exclusively on Amazon between July 2022 and June 2024.
Customers who own one of the recalled mattresses are advised to stop using it immediately. To receive a refund, owners must contact Crayan via email, mark the mattress with the word “Recalled” on the top, and send a photo to the company. After confirming the photo, Crayan will provide a full refund.
The company says it has already reached out to purchasers, but those who have not received notice should check their Amazon order history or contact Crayan directly to ensure they are informed and can take the necessary steps.
